Andra Lee drops 9:58pm
“9:58PM” by Andra Lee is now out on all streaming platforms
The single release features two new versions of the song “9:58PM” which first appeared on the beat tape “Lo-fi Autumn” in 2023. The lo-fi energy is ever-present in these new edits. Warm pads ooze over arpegiated piano; while robust beats give the tracks a seductive feel. “To be honest, Lee says, it’s a combination of “Agape” by Nicholas Brittle and “Dime” by Roy Woods”.
The most notable addition to the song is the vocal breakdown added to each version. Making no certain promises, Lee tentatively plans to release more vocally laden tracks throughout the remainder of 2024.
The album artwork is by illustrator, Kyree Saintilus (RISD 2023).
