Good Day To You Everyone,
We’re back with another weekly roundup.
Let me start by dropping in this week’s episode of Ra World Address
A clip from the SNL sketch Daily Affirmation: Michael Jordan is on the podcast this week. It was one of those weeks where I stumbled across a random but useful YT video. While it’s meant to be a joke about affirmations it really came in handy this week as an actual affirmation.
This week I asked my audience to recommend a rap album. Emeka Alams of GCTC recommended the album ‘Magic’ by Nas. I listened to the entire album and found two favorites “Hollywood Gangsta” & “Wave Gods”
Next week on the podcast I am interviewing interdisciplinary artist and cultural worker, Sulyiman. We’ll get into his work as an artist and his perspective as a cultural worker. I don’t want to give away too much but, hope that you do listen in for what’s sure to be an insightful episode.
About two weeks ago I returned to a project I’ve been working on for the past year called RWA Catalog. In this project, I catalog products that I like from brands I admire. I’ve managed to keep the project rolling on Are.Na . I am hoping one day I’ll be able to expand the digital catalog into a physical one.
Ketanji Brown Jackson is now thee first-ever black woman to be on the supreme court. Proving yet again that we Black folk do belong in high-ranking government positions. And then musician KeiyaA made a comment that resonated with me.
Yes, I agree, us worst and mid blacks need love too.
That’s about all I’ve rounded up for you this week. Stay tuned for next week’s podcast and guest Sulyiman.
