Good Day To You Everyone,
It’s another weekly roundup. This week I’m trying to turn the beat around, last week I was just plain sad and this week I’m realizing I need to put more energy into maintaining my positive mood.
I’ve started exploring some new career options, maybe because I’m not sure that podcasting alone will be enough. But at the same time the platform is growing and week by week more people come through to listen to episodes. You know what would be really cool… having a little station where I pump out content all week. That’s what I’d really like. The podcast only exists on one day of the week there’s actually a lot of room for me to develop more programming.
This week I delivered a last-minute episode of the podcast, I had a guest spot scheduled but my guest failed to show up. It’s alright, people make mistakes all the time –– we’re only human.
Listen to me talk about being triggered by an absent guest and work through the emotions of feeling like a failure below.
Currently, as I type this blog post I’m listening to NTS Radio.
Speaking of programming, NTS is totally goals at least for the diversity of content.
The Met Gala happened on Monday of this week and gilded age was the theme. While a LOT of people had difficulty (or so it seemed) following the theme other people really got into it. Additionally, a marble statue of Rihanna w/ child was unveiled at the Met Museum.
The Met Gala always reminds me a bit of the hunger games, it’s so ostentatious in the middle of weird times. The very rich come together at a fundraiser for one of NY’s most popular museums meanwhile the Supreme Court is drafting news that roe vs. wade is overturned. While this was simply a leak of information, it’s so wild that after 49 years the Supreme Court wants to roll back this right.
This Sean Paul image is great. I love the quote about being good to the girls. More of this energy is so welcome, more dancehall is welcome. I truly will never have enough reggae music.
Speaking of music, above are some “Songs About You” that you might want to check out. These three songs are very different from each other but share the theme of love and yearning –– add them to your playlist if you wish.
This concludes the weekly roundup. I hope you’ve had a great week!
Wishing you all a great next week!
Big Love,
Ra
