Good Day To You Everyone,
It’s another RWA Weekly Roundup. We are at #17 this week and #13 on the podcast. This week I returned to solo shows on RWA Podcast, it’s a very short but sweet episode.
I talk about preparation and how it should be the takeaway from what we all felt during the pandemic. We should use a preparedness strategy in response to rising food and gas prices. I think everything is just going to get more expensive.
Listen to the episode here:
I am applying for a grant and have been writing this entire month trying to express who I am as a person and, what’s important to me as an artist. Through this process, I’ve been able to develop words to capture the spirit of what I’m working on. Out of this came the definition of the theme of ‘Black Futures’ that permeates my work.
Black Futures is the study of black individuals, brands & identities moving black culture forward.
Every interview I’ve done has been with a black person who is demonstrating artfulness and an effervescent way of life that I believe exemplifies where black culture is headed.
As a part of the development of my “tv channel,” I am researching and studying individuals from all time that also contribute forward-thinking work that inspires a Black Future.
This idea of Black Futures is a big part of what I do.
